Just over a week ago, Scout wrote a poem welcoming the new year:

“Thy year is passing from mine eyes. We’ve had thy sadness, anger, disgust, fear, and joy and surprises. This year was good, it really was. But now comes something new, something beautiful, something grand, something great. Sometimes you have to let go of the past so you may have a future.

Farewell 2018
Welcome 2019″
